Manor Solomon should officially become a Tottenham Hotspur player ‘in two or three days’ with the former Fulham winger on his way back to the Premier League.

Could the Israel international be to Ange Postecoglou what Arnaut Danjuma was supposed to be to Antonio Conte?

A forward arriving to increase the quality and the depth of the Tottenham Hotspur frontline. While Danjuma barely kicked a ball in anger before returning to Villarreal, the hope will be that Manor Solomon can thrive where the seldom-seen Dutchman failed.

A right footed left winger who loves to cut in onto his favoured foot, Solomon should provide competition for the ageing Heung-Min Son. He also fits nicely under a manager in Postecoglou who likes wide players capable of both scoring and creating from the flank.

Tottenham agree deal for former Fulham man Manor Solomon

Shlomi Ben Ezra, Solomon’s representative, has already confirmed that his client will be soon become a Spurs player; super-agent Pini Zahavi helping force through a deal.

And, with a five-year contract on the table, Solomon should be officially unveiled in midweek.

“He needs to undergo medical tests and sign the contract. That will happen in two or three days. He will not fly there until the bureaucratic matters like the visa will be sorted out,” Ben Ezra tells Sport5.

“It is a club that is very close to the hearts of people around Manor. Pini Zahavi sat with (chairman) Daniel Levy for several months and offered him Manor. What happened happened. In the last few days, there was a breakthrough.

“(Tottenham) is a top ten club in England.”

Solomon spent last season on loan at Fulham, scoring five goals in total. He now leaves parent club Shakhtar Donetsk on a free transfer, much to the frustration of the Ukrainian giants’ CEO Sergei Palkin.

“Manor is coming for five years, not for a year on loan,” Ben Ezra adds. “At a club like Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham, there are several players in each position and this competition will make him better.

“Manor made his considerations and chose another club.”
