The former Barcelona forward has described the 25-year-old as a “crack” (ace) on his Instagram story following Brazil’s 3-0 win against Ghana in a friendly international on Friday evening.

Paqueta, who joined West Ham from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon in the summer transfer window, started the match.

In our view, West Ham United did well to sign Lucas Paqueta from Lyon in the summer of 2022.
The 25-year-old was linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United among other clubs, and the Hammers’ board should be praised for being able to secure his services ahead of their Premier League rivals.
Paqueta has made two starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Hammers so far this season.
The Brazil international has also made one start and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Europa Conference League for David Moyes’s side so far this campaign.
