Reported Newcastle United summer transfer target Lucas Paqueta has agreed personal terms with David Moyes’s West Ham United, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Lyon midfielder Paqueta has agreed personal terms with Premier League club West Ham.

Romano has added that the Hammers will hold new talks with Lyon over the Brazilian star today.

CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs has said on the NUFC Matters YouTube channel that Newcastle are interested in the 24-year-old Brazil international attacking midfielder.

The Northern Echo reported earlier this month that Arsenal and Newcastle are keen on securing the services of Paqueta this summer.

Newcastle to miss out on Lucas Paqueta to West Ham

In our view, Lucas Paqueta looks likely to move to West Ham United now, meaning that Newcastle United will miss out on the Brazil international attacking midfielder.

If the 24-year-old wants to join the Hammers and the London club are in talks with Lyon for the Brazilian, then it is hard to see Newcastle bring him to St. James’ Park before the summer transfer window closes next week.

Paqueta is a very good player who will make the Hammers a better team.
