David Moyes’s West Ham United are about to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Lucas Paqueta from Lyon in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that West Ham and Lyon have reached a verbal agreement over the transfer of Paqueta.
The Premier League club and the French outfit held talks this morning again, and they have now come to an agreement over a deal, according to Romano.
The Italian journalist had earlier reported that 24-year-old Brazil international attacking midfielder Paqueta has already agreed personal terms with West Ham.
This latest update on Paqueta will come as a blow for West Ham’s London and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

That’s because Tottenham have also been linked with the former AC Milan and Flamengo playmaker.
It was only on Thursday when The Express reported that Tottenham could make a late bid for the Lyon star.
The report claimed that Spurs ‘hold an interest in signing Paqueta’, adding that the Brazilian star is ‘is very much appreciated’ by the club’s Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici.
