The new Premier League fixtures are out and Arsenal fans will be mapping out how they are going to win the title.

The previous campaign was one of mixed emotions for Mikel Arteta and his players.

On one hand, they showcased great improvement and pushed Manchester City in the Premier League title race to the last day.

But on the other, Arsenal are fully aware that they still require that extra bit of magic if they are to finally become champions of England.

No Upcoming Fixtures

Just like last summer’s transfer window and the arrival of Declan Rice, you feel some more magic and extra bite is needed.

One man who the Gunners are seemingly keen on signing this summer is Crystal Palace’s sought-after star, Eberechi Eze, as reported by The Guardian.

The 25-year-old ended the recent season in a strong fashion and earned himself a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024.

Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins was another man picked and he lauded Eze for his goal in training by describing him as ‘silky’, as he told The Dairy Room.

You could argue that Eze is one of the best players to watch in the Premier League because of how he glides with the ball.

And he has a fan in Watkins, who was watching back at some recent England goals in training and rating them out of ten.

Ollie Watkins hails Eberechi Eze in England training

“Eze, I have to give a ten, don’t I,” responded Watkins to the Crystal Palace star’s goal in England training.

“If I give a ten, then I give it to Eze’s on the swivel (goal). That’s what he is about as well. Silky and a touch of class. I am giving him the best goal.”

Eberechi Eze at Arsenal

Throughout the pitch, you feel Arteta knows his starting XI and there aren’t many spots up for grabs, including the position of captain Martin Odegaard.

But depth is needed. The ability to rotate and that’s where someone like Eze comes into the picture.

If Arsenal could land a player of his quality, then it would allow Arteta to rotate more freely and bring even more competition into the team.

And as David Raya and Kai Havertz proved in their debut campaigns, that’s a pretty good thing to have.
