Antonio Conte admitted that he had a ‘little bit of bad news’ to tell Tottenham Hotspur fans at his press conference yesterday, which was covered by Football London.
Injured again
Ryan Sessegnon has been one of the Tottenham players to benefit the most from Conte’s arrival in North London.
The left wing-back has, all of a sudden, emerged as a real starting contender for the Lilywhites.
However, after impressing against Liverpool and keeping Mohamed Salah relatively quiet, Sessegnon is now due to spend more time on the sidelines.
Conte has revealed that Sessegnon has a muscular problem, with could see him needing treatment for the next two weeks.
“A little bad news that Ryan Sessegnon had a problem at the end of the game against Liverpool. He’s the only player, with Romero, is injured,” he said.
“Ten days to two weeks. He had a muscular problem at the end of the game against Liverpool. For sure, we have to find a good solution with Sess because I have seen in the past he has suffered a bit from this type of injury. So we have to find the right solution with the medical department. And also with the player.”

Same old story?
It is certainly a familiar story for Sessegnon, who is becoming too prone to picking up these problems.
The youngster has struggled to stay fit ever since he arrived at Spurs, which hasn’t helped his cause for more regular game time.
His absence means that Sergio Reguilon looks likely to start this evening against West Ham United.
Reguilon has been a key player under Conte so far, but has been suffering with an injury issue of his own recently.
The Spaniard will know the importance of impressing later, as Sessegnon is really beginning to push to take his place.
And it will be interesting to see if the added competition can drive him on to even greater heights in terms of performance levels.
