Arsenal target Ibrahima Bamba has followed in the footsteps of Moises Caicedo by making his transfer intentions known on Instagram.
The Brighton No.25 recently asked to leave in a statement on Instagram after Arsenal submitted an opening offer of £60m for his services, with Bamba now doing similar as speculation about his future intensifies.
What’s the story?
Well, it was Jornal de Notícias in Portugal who claimed that Arsenal are leading the race to sign the Vitória de Guimarães No.22 this month.
That story emerged after Bamba’s agent – Filipe Macedo Alves – was confirmed to be in London after he posted a photo on his official Instagram account.
Now, the 20-year-old has began his attempts to leave the Portuguese side as he deletes all mention of Vitória de Guimarães from his Instagram account, while also posting “he who laughs best laughs last” and “life is made up of choices” on his story.
You can see his post below, with journalist Zach Lowy confirming Bamba’s desire to leave.
With Jorginho seemingly on his way to the Emirates Stadium, this represents a very interesting development for Arsenal.
Do they add Bamba to the Italy international? Or will Mikel Arteta decide to put his interest on ice until the summer, despite the sudden Instagram posts?
Only time will tell for sure, but it is certainly an intriguing decision from Bamba this late in the window.
Arsenal should sign Bamba & Jorginho
In our view, Arsenal should put a bid in for Bamba as he attempts to leave – especially as he is available for just £7m as revealed by Fabrizio Romano.

Arteta has just lost Mohamed Elneny to a serious injury while Albert Sambi Lokonga is having a medical at Crystal Palace, so even with the arrival of Jorginho, the Gunners will be losing a body in midfield.
Therefore, a late swoop for Bamba could prove to be a bargain, as well as a wise long-term investment at just £7m.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as anything could happen before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
