Liverpool have been left shocked after Julian Ward decided to resign from his role as Director of Football, although January transfers are still needed.

Jürgen Klopp is in desperate need of reinforcements as his Liverpool side find themselves struggling in the Premier League, so the German needs Ward to bow out strongly with an impactful final transfer window.

In that respect, let’s take a look at the most likely January deals for Liverpool this winter…

Mohammed Kudus

The Ajax No.20 is currently shining for Ghana at the World Cup, scoring two goals in two games so far.

As a result, Liverpool have become interested in bringing him to Anfield, according to Sports World Ghana, with Ajax valuing him at £30m.

Kudus – who scored against the Reds at Anfield earlier this season – seems like a very realistic signing for Klopp, as he has already agitated for a move to Everton just a few months ago.

Therefore, the idea of life on Merseyside is already in his mind, and the chance to play for Liverpool will surely be too good for him to refuse.

Youssoufa Moukoko

According to SPORT in Spain, Liverpool are keeping an eye on Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Youssoufa Moukoko, who has impressively scored six goals, while also providing six assists, in all competitions this season.

The Germany international – aged just 18 – is currently in Qatar for the World Cup, but his contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

With no sign of an extension, we believe it is highly likely that the German giants cash in on their teenage sensation this January.

Konrad Laimer

Another Bundesliga gem who sees his contract expire in June is RB Leipzig maestro Konrad Laimer.

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool are keen to sign the Austria international, who would provide some much needed depth for Klopp in the midfield department.

Laimer has already admitted that he supports the Reds, and also idolises Steven Gerrard, so we certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see this move happen in January.
