Tottenham Hotspur have been busy in the summer transfer market but one summer departure could not be happier with his decision.
Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur have made two key additions to their squad this summer with Spurs signing Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke and Leeds United’s Archie Gray.
Spurs fans have been impressed by Gray’s performances in particular but these additions may not have been possible without some key departures from North London.
AC Milan completed the signing of Emerson Royal from Spurs with the Brazilian defender having previously been keen on leaving the club.
As well as this, Spurs also loaned out Alejo Veliz the Argentine has spoken out about leaving north London.

Alejo Veliz opens up on Tottenham exit
Spurs forward Veliz was allowed to depart North London on loan and despite interest from the Premier League, the Argentine decided that a return to La Liga would be the most ideal move for him and the forward has been speaking about that decision.
“I am very happy to be here,” he told AS. Veliz had previously had a rather unsuccessful spell on loan at La Liga side Sevilla, despite Quique Sanches Flores describing the Argentine forward as ‘incredible’.
“I adapted very quickly to the group, there are good people, healthy people and that is the most important thing. It is true that I have only recently been here, but my teammates helped me adapt very quickly.
“I feel more confident, more loose. I’m going to try to improve this week to try to give more of myself.”
Veliz could benefit on loan at Espanyol
The Argentine, as mentioned, struggled to impress for Sevilla but a move to another La Liga side may well be beneficial to allow the 20-year-old to develop.
In his interview, Veliz certainly sounded positive about his chances of developing in Spain and it is vital that the exciting forward is given plenty of chances for the side, otherwise this would be another pointless loan for the forward.
The 20-year-old has endured a frustrating time at Tottenham since joining them in a €15 million (£12 million) deal from Rosario Central in August last year.
He has become frustrated under Ange Postecoglou and a developmental year away from Spurs could be beneficial for his development.
