Tottenham Hotspur striker Alejo Veliz is closing in on a move away from North London this summer if reports are to be believed.

Sales could well be key this summer for Tottenham Hotspur if they want to strengthen in the key areas that will see the Lilywhites progress up the table.

Emerson Royal is closing in on a move to AC Milan with today reportedly et to be a crucial day for that deal to get done.

Bringing in money this summer will be vital for the club if they are to make a key signing like Dominic Solanke.

HITC understands that Spurs are progressing in talks to sign Solanke from Bournemouth but it appears Alejo Veliz is on his way out to make way for the Englishman.

Espanyol closing in on Alejo Veliz deal

According to Fabrizio Romano on X, Spurs are currently signing all of the documents that would see Argentine forward Veliz go out on loan to the La Liga side.

Despite Veliz set to move to Espanyol, there is reportedly no buy option in the deal for the Argentine and he will return to North London next summer.

Reports from Argentina, via Eduardo Burgos on X, had claimed that Southampton were in advanced talks to sign Veliz on loan but it is Espanyol who have won the race for the forward.

As well as Romano, Alasdair Gold from Football.London claims that there will be no buy option in the deal for the 20-year-old and he is now set to move to the La Liga side this summer.

Veliz departing makes way for Dominic Solanke

If Spurs do complete the signing of Solanke, they may well finally have their replacement for Harry Kane but sales will be needed.

Whilst Veliz’s move to Espanyol would be a loan with no purchase option, if the Argentine excels in La Liga then this could lead to a permanent move to Spain.

Veliz spent last season on loan at Sevilla and the 20-year-old forward earned praise from Quique Sanches Flores but his loan with the Spanish giants was generally a disappointing one but there is hope this loan could be much more fruitful.
