Rasmus Hojlund has started to bang in the goals for fun for Manchester United in the Premier League, but the Denmark international striker did not play against Fulham at Old Trafford this past weekend.

Hojlund was injured, and in his absence, Manchester United slumped to a 2-1 defeat. Defender Harry Maguire publicly admitted that Erik ten Hag’s side missed the striker.

Marcus Rashford was deployed down the middle, but the England international is not a natural striker and it showed.

Manchester United were offered Paulo Dybala in January

You wonder whether in these times how Paulo Dybala could have helped United, especially when you consider how he did for AS Roma this week.

As HITC revealed on January 5, AS Roma striker Dybala was offered to United among other clubs. The Argentina international, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, was available for just £10 million before January 15.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were also made aware of the availability of the 2022 World Cup winner with Argentina.

However, Dybala is still at Roma, and his form for the Italian club makes you wonder whether United should have paid the £10 million it needed to get a deal done.

Paulo Dybala stars for AS Roma

AS Roma beat Torino 3-2 at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome in Serie A on Monday evening. Dybala scored all three goals.

The Argentina international was deployed in a tw0-man attack alongside Sardar Azmoun in a 3-5-2 formation.

Dybala found the back of the net first in the 42nd minute from the penalty spot and then in the 57th and the 69th minute.

As you can see below, the AS Roma striker is overjoyed with his heroics, which have impressed Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior.

Dybala has now scored 11 goals and given six assists in 18 Serie A matches for Roma this season.

Last season, the Argentina international forward scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 22 starts and four substitute appearances in the league for Roma.
