Manchester United suffered a 2-1 defeat to Fulham at Old Trafford on Saturday, and one player who cannot be blamed at all is Rasmus Hojlund.

Rasmus Hojlund did not play in the Premier League match. The Manchester United striker is injured at the moment, so he could not feature against Fulham.

The striker has been in great form lately, banging in the goals for fun. The Denmark international has scored seven goals and given two assists in 17 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League this season.

United central defender Harry Maguire has been impressed and said after the match against Fulham that the Red Devils really missed the 21-year-old.

Before Hojlund had started to flourish in the Premier League, there were criticisms aimed at him, with suggestions that he was not ready to play for the Red Devils.

Darren Bent defends Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund

In the build-up to the Premier League game between United and Fulham on Saturday, former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent gave his take on Hojlund, saying that criticism of the youngster was unfair.

Bent said on PremierLeagueProductions: “Hojlund is a big one, I think the criticism he got was unfair as he didn’t get going right away. He’s been full of form he would have been looking to add to his goal tally today.”

My View: Rasmus Hojlund is a rising star for Manchester United

In my opinion, Rasmus Hojlund is a rising star for Manchester United and is one of the best young strikers in the Premier League.

It takes players to adjust to a new club and a new league, so there is no surprise that Hojlund needed time.

And, let us not forget that he is only 21 now. The Denmark international striker is very young and is not the finished article yet. I think that United fans need to be patient with him.
