Cameron Carter-Vickers left Tottenham Hotspur to join Celtic earlier this summer.
The USA international impressed under Ange Postecoglou during a loan spell away from Spurs at Parkhead last season.
So when Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy had the chance to sell him for £6 million [The Times] after the loan expired, he took that option.
And although Cameron Carter-Vickers was never good enough for the Lilywhites, he is certainly proving himself a capable defender up in Scotland.
The 24-year-old helped the Hoops to a Scottish Premiership title last season and the champions have started the new campaign in devastating fashion.
Carter-Vickers, who came through the ranks at Spurs, played 90 minutes on Sunday as Celtic recorded a stunning 9-0 victory away to Dundee United, their fifth-successive league win.

Despite most of the action obviously occuring at the opposite end of the field to where the powerful central defender plays, Carter-Vickers still managed to clock 107 touches and a 93 percent passing success rate, from 99 passes too. [WhoScored].
The England-born powerhouse also managed to win four aerial challenges, clearing the ball on four occasions, too.
Two different Celtic players scored hat-tricks – Liel Abada and Kyogo Furuhashi – so Carter-Vickers won’t have emerged from the contest with much credit or plaudits.
But looking at the statistics, it was obviously a fine performance from Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Tottenham won’t regret selling the big man, even for £6 million, but they certainly raised an excellent defender nonetheless.
