Liverpool fans waited all summer long for new signings and now two have arrived in the space of a few days.
Arne Slot hasn’t let the lack of business off the field affect his start to life as a manager because he has registered two wins out of two.
Since then, Liverpool have signed goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili and then loaned him straight back to Valencia.
But the transfer that has caught everyone’s eye is Liverpool securing a £12.5 million deal for Federico Chiesa from Juventus.
The window slams shut on Friday and you wonder if that could be it for those on Merseyside, or will there be a few more surprises?
Another Serie A-based player looking for a move is Victor Osimhen – two seasons after he helped Napoli to the title.
But with the clock ticking down, Osimhen is yet to find a new club and he may well stay in Naples.
Don Hutchison was reacting to the suggestion that Osimhen could move to Saudi Arabia and he stated on Twitter it would be a ‘shame’ if that happens.
That’s why the former midfielder urged the £100 million striker to make a move to Liverpool by adding that he would ‘love’ him at Anfield.
Victor Osimhen at Liverpool
“What a Shame,” responded Hutchison to Osimhen possibly joining a Saudi club.
“He might be making that move now (just circumstance I suppose) As his true value is well over 100 million and no1 has it these days. I would love him at Newcastle or Liverpool.
“Any Premier League team would benefit having him. I would stay in Italy if I was him. Saudi can always wait.”
Liverpool not signing a number-six
The Reds supporters will be slightly relieved that they have added a fresh face to their squad because it always helps the dressing room.
But Liverpool haven’t brought in that number six, which is a huge worry because it is probably the weakest area of the XI.

Ryan Gravenberch has been slammed for his Liverpool performances and Wataru Endo doesn’t seem to be front and centre of Slot’s plans.
It didn’t help matters that Martin Zubimendi turned down Liverpool, but if the team can get a number six in before the deadline, then it really would be a top, top window.
