- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
HITC understands that AS Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana has been offered the chance to move to England and has made his mind up.
Manchester United were one of the sides interested in Youssouf Fofana with the Red Devils keen on adding a midfielder to their ranks this summer.
Erik ten Hag has already brought in four players before the season kicks off but French teenager Leny Yoro suffered a serious injury problem that will keep him out until November.
United are interested in Paris Saint Germain’s Manuel Ugarte but no progress has been made in a deal for the Uruguayan and Fofana was an alternative.

Youssouf Fofana makes AC Milan decision
HITC has been told that Fofana has turned down the chance to move to England as he is committed to sealing a move to AC Milan.
Milan are locked in negotiations with Monaco – who are asking €35 million (£30 million) for Fofana, but with just one year left on his contract, the Italian giants won’t pay that, they are looking to play closer to €25 million (£21 million).
Over the past few weeks, a number of clubs have been linked and HITC can confirm that as well as United, West Ham United also held talks about a possible deal, whilst there were also enquiries from Arsenal.
However, sources have told HITC that Fofana was informed about the possibility of moving to England, but made it clear he only wants to move to the San Siro.
These sides from England may have to look elsewhere as it seems that Fofana has given his word to the Rossoneri this summer.
Fofana prepared to see out contract at AS Monaco
Sources have told HITC that Fofana’s commitment to end up in Milan’s colours is such that he is also understood to have warned Monaco that if they don’t agree terms with the Italian giants, he will consider waiting and joining on a free transfer in 2025.
However, new Milan coach Paulo Fonseca wants Fofana in this summer and the expectation is that he seals his move to the Italian giants.
Last season for Monaco, Fofana made 32 appearances for the French giants where he scored four goals and provided four assists.
