Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi praised Aston Villa transfer target, Luis Suarez, on Instagram after his emotional send-off from Atletico Madrid.
The 35-year-old’s contract at Atletico is due to expire at the end of the season and he is set to leave the club on a free.
Over the weekend, Diego Simeone’s men played their final home game of the 2021/22 La Liga season – a 1-1 draw against Sevilla, with Suarez saying his goodbyes to the home crowd.
After the game, Suarez posted a message to the Atletico supporters and his former Barcelona teammates sent the following messages to the legendary forward.
Messi commented: ‘More than deserved. I love you so much.’
Whilst Brazil star Neymar added: ‘You are a phenomenon. I love you brother.’

Aston Villa have already pulled off the signing of Philippe Coutinho, so they will be backing themselves to add Suarez.

The aim for Villa is to secure European football, but given that they aren’t in those positions yet, it makes life very difficult to sign the top, top players.
But if this deal happens, then it would be a serious statement of intent from the English side.
Whilst that rumour fills the transfer gossip channels, as things stand, it’s probably unlikely he dons the Claret and Blue colours.
