Danny Murphy has backed the ‘young, hungry and quick’ Richarlison to join Tottenham from Everton this summer, as he told talkSPORT.
The former midfielder added that if Richarlison were to sign for Spurs, then he would add ‘strength’ to their attacking areas – Everton want well over £60 million for their 25-year-old forward.
Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane are the two undisputed attackers who will start week in and week out for Antonio Conte.
Whilst January signing Dejan Kulusevski made such an impression that he has pushed ahead of linked-away duo Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn in the Spurs pecking order.
Either way, with suggestions that Tottenham are looking to sign Richarlison, the possible transfer was backed by their former player.
“I like Richarlison and he would add strength in depth in the front areas,” said Murphy. “You have got Kulusevski, Son and Kane.
“Then you have Moura backing them up and you need one more probably. Young, hungry and quick.”

RICHARLISON’S CHARACTER PERFECT FOR CONTE
Whether you love him, loathe him, think he is quality or just overrated.
One thing is for sure, Richarlison divides opinion and gets the crowd going, from both ends.
The Brazil international’s aggressive nature and in-your-face character is what Conte would love in his squad.
Then it’s his ability to find the back of the net during difficult situations, as he proved for Everton as they survived relegation by the skin of their teeth last season.
