Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the Premier League game between the two sides at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, as quoted in The Liverpool Echo.

Klopp has noted that Tottenham are very good in counter-attacks, adding that the North London club have been scoring late goals in recent times.

Spurs scored a late winner against Marseille away from home in France in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.

Tottenham also won the Premier League game against Bournemouth last week late on.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp on Tottenham Hotspur

Klopp said about Tottenham: “It’s a massive game for us (Sunday). I didn’t count the points difference between us but we cannot be picky where we get points but it’s difficult.

“They are well organised in defending. Counter-attack is a massive thing. You saw their offensive power.

“They have scored goals in the last minutes lately, so we are prepared for a confident, strong opponent.”

The Liverpool boss added: “What I can say I never once thought before going to Tottenham ‘now is a good time to face Tottenham’.

“It will be a tough one but that’s what we all want. It’s like a Champions League game in the Premier League and that’s how we’ll approach it.”

Dangerous team

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur have what it takes to get the better of Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this weekend.

Liverpool are not in particularly great form at the moment and have been rather inconsistent in recent weeks.

Tottenham themselves are not exactly playing brilliantly now, but the North London club are getting results and are scoring important goals, especially late on.

We do not think that Spurs will lose to Liverpool and could end up picking up all three points courtesy of a narrow win.
