Yannick Bolasie thinks Arsenal, and Mykhailo Mudryk himself, did all they could for him to secure a move to Mikel Arteta’s side, but in the end, there is nothing they can do about Chelsea’s financial power, as he posted on Twitter.
The former Crystal Palace winger added ‘You saw it with Locatelli & Vlahovic’, that if an individual wants to join a club of his choice, then he will, but Arsenal now just need to ‘chill’ after missing out on the 22-year-old – Juventus previously beat the Gunners to the duo’s signature.
Mudryk himself couldn’t stop posting images, videos or IG stories relating to Arsenal and it looked like he was only going to head one way and one way only.

But since Todd Boehly took the reigns at Stamford Bridge, the American businessman has spent nearly half a billion, including £89 million on Mudryk.
Many are accusing Chelsea of playing football manager and just bidding for anything and everything.
Well, Bolasie touched upon how ‘no-one in Europe got involved’ with Arsenal’s discussions for Mudryk, apart from a team that is ‘bidding for anyone’ and that’s something the Premier League leaders are powerless about.
BLESSING IN DISGUISE
Arsenal are top of the league for a reason because of the ruthless, but most importantly, correct calls Arteta and his backroom staff have made in recent years.
They have all had long-term benefits. From booting out Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emirick Aubameyng to this call to not push the boat out for Mudryk.
In 12 months, Arsenal will still be challenging for the title, with a much stronger squad, and with Chelsea’s current scattergun approach, it wouldn’t be a surprise if they are struggling.
Those at the Emirates will just be hoping that they are champions this season because it will be a huge relief and that moment when fans can state that ‘the process has been trusted’.
