Comedian and actor, Asim Chaudhry, popularly known by his alter ego, ‘Chabuddy G’ has sent Newcastle United his best wishes ahead of the much-awaited Carabao Cup Final against Manchester United.
The 35-year-old is a Magpies fan and now hopes, just like any supporter that his beloved club win the trophy on Sunday, ending their 68-year wait for silverware.
Newcastle will certainly need all the luck possible from every one of their fans including Asim Chaudhry as they aim to turn Manchester United over and become Carabao Cup champions.
Asim Chaudhry sends Newcastle a good luck message ahead of Carabao Cup Final vs Manchester United
After Erik ten Hag’s side beat Barcelona over two legs in the Europa League to reach the Round of 16, Paul Scholes, much like most fans and pundits alike are siding with the Red Devils to do the business.

However, Asim Chaudhry is praying that Newcastle beat the odds by defeating Manchester United in the Carabao Cup Final, as he sent a special message to the team he supports via Chronicle Live.
“[I am a] Massive, massive Newcastle fan and I hope that we can do it on Sunday. Wishing all the boys, all the team, all the fans good luck and you know what? I haven’t washed this shirt [1995/1996 goalkeeper kit] since the last cup final [1999 FA Cup Final vs Manchester United] we were in. It smells pungent and if we win, I’ll never wash it again!”
Newcastle could kickstart their project with a win on Sunday
Not just fans like Asim Chaudhry but the players and staff at Newcastle will also start to believe that they are the real deal if they beat Manchester United in the Carabao Cup Final.
Kyle Walker once mentioned how winning the same competition in 2018 gave him the belief to strive for more.
As the St. James’ Park faithful travel to Wembley, they will be hoping that their side can make memories for a lifetime as well, and use a potential victory as a platform for bigger and better things.
