Chris Sutton has called out Harry Kane for his constant ‘diving’, as he urged the Tottenham striker to ‘stop’.
The former Premier League title winner made it clear that he is going to ‘pull up’ Kane on this matter because it is something the Spurs man is starting to do ‘regularly’.
The recent campaign was a long-winded and drawn-out season, without a doubt, which ended in a quite humiliating 4-0 defeat for England against Hungary in the UEFA Nations League.
During that game, with little contact, the Three Lions captain was accused of going to ground too easily or diving inside the penalty area.
Sutton publicly called out Kane for his actions, as he told BBC Radio 5 Live Sport that he is ‘so much better than that’.
“Harry Kane, you are so much better than that,” said Sutton. “I am going to pull you up on this.
“Helpless Harry Kane. That was horrible. You have to stop diving. You are maybe England captain, but we are going to call you out, hunt you out and cane you Harry Kane when you do dive.
“So, stop it! You are a good player. We think you are a good player. You are so much better than the diving, which you have done regularly.”

KANE AT THE 2022 WORLD CUP
Let’s be honest, if Kane goes to ground easily at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar that hands England a crucial win, then will those critics care? Absolutely not.
Does Kane get favourable treatment because he is England captain and seen as this model professional? 100%.
Whilst the 28-year-old didn’t do it often last season, he even went through a period where he would, in a very clever manner, back into opponents and win fouls.
But sometimes you need those dark arts in your game and Kane certainly has a few up his sleeve.
