Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will lock horns with each other at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup this weekend.
Ahead of the tie, Rio Ferdinand and rapper Yungen have been doing a combined Manchester United and Liverpool XI on his Youtube channel.
Yungen said that he wants Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher in the team, but United legend Ferdinand prefers Andre Onana.
As you can from the conversation below, Ferdinand is dismissive of the 25-year-old, saying that the Liverpool and Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper has been playing well for just a few games.
Rio Ferdinand gives verdict on Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher
Yungen: “I am going with Kelleher in goal.”
Ferdinand: “Over Onana? Bro, he has had three or four good games. He has played well, he has played well.”
Yungen: “Onana has had three or four games.”

Ferdinand: “Onana has, I think, did he win the Golden Glove last year?”
Yungen: “This is this year. This is this year now.”
Ferdinand: “Bro, he has played three or four games. You can’t. That’s like he is having a good patch. He has been faultless, by the way.”
My View: Let us not undermine Caoimhin Kelleher
In my opinion, Liverpool and Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher should be given due credit.
Yes, Kelleher has been playing for Liverpool on a regular basis for just a few weeks, but we have to remember that he has Alisson ahead of him in the pecking order.
Alisson is a world-class goalkeeper, and, when the Brazil international is fit and available, he will be back in the starting lineup.
Kelleher did extremely well for Liverpool against Chelsea in the final of the Carabao Cup. He has been doing well in the Premier League and the UEFA Europa League as well.
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk thinks that Kelleher, who is on the radar of Celtic, is world class. Manager Jurgen Klopp also rates him highly.
Kelleher helped Liverpool win the Carabao Cup this season. I think that he will play a big role if the Reds are to clinch the Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Europa League as well.
