Ally McCoist has said on talkSPORT (9:24am, March 21, 2022) that he is disappointed to hear Bukayo Saka complaining about the Aston Villa players’ aggression against him during the Premier League game against Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal won 1-0 against Villa away from home at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday.
England international attacker Saka scored the only goal of the match in the first half.
The 20-year-old played well against the Villans, but after the match, he complained about being kicked by Steven Gerrard’s players.
Former Rangers and Sunderland striker McCoist believes that Saka is wrong to complain about the aggression in the game.
Ally McCoist on Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka
McCoist said on talkSPORT (9:24am, March 21, 2022): “Saka is a good player, an outstanding talent, I love him, but you can’t complain about that side of it, that’s football.”

Deal with it
In our opinion, Saka simply has to deal with the tactics of the opposition teams and has to cope with the aggression of the game.
If the referee in the Premier League game between Villa and Arsenal did not deem that the challenges from Gerrard’s players on Saka were fouls, then the England international should just accept it.
Just get on with it.
It is part and parcel of the game.
Jack Grealish used to get fouled a lot when he was at Villa.
Now, of course, we must take into consideration that Saka is only 20 and is still learning his trade.
We think that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta needs to get it into Saka that the better he plays, the more he will get rough-tackled by the opponents.
Saka will have to cope.
And, in our view, he will.
