Spain are reportedly eager to lure Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino away from the England youth set-up.
According to Cadena Ser, La Roja have been working behind the scenes to tempt the 17-year-old Gunners midfielder. Patino can play for Spain due to his father being born there.
However, the youngster has been with England at various youth levels for some time. Patino is currently a part of the U-17 squad. But with the midfielder set to make his debut this week, it is likely that the playmaker will be bumped an age group next month.
Indeed, Spain could be a tempting proposition for Patino. The 2010 FIFA World Cup winners are known for their production line of technically brilliant midfielders, a category the Arsenal talent falls under.
Moreover, with England stocked in the central midfield position at all levels, there’s a strong chance that Patino will struggle to break into the senior squad if his development takes off, like many expect it to do.
And for Arsenal fans on social media, they believe that `Spain would be a much more suitable fit for Patino rather than England.

Here’s what some supporters had to say on Twitter about Patino being chased by Spain, with a few fans eager for La Roja to land the teenage talent…
