Don Hutchison has tipped Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to sign Bukayo Saka of Arsenal and Juventus star Federico Chiesa to replace Mohamed Salah.

Saudi Arabia side Al-Ittihad are seemingly going to bang on the door for Mohamed Salah ahead of transfer deadline day – it has even been claimed by one presenter that a medical has been arranged.

If the Liverpool superstar leaves, then Hutchison thinks that the 31-year-old is ‘replaceable’, as he dropped in the name of Arsenal’s thriving star Bukayo Saka, as well as Italy international, Federico Chiesa, as he told ESPN.

You could see Federico Chiesa moving to Anfield from Juventus, but it has to be questioned why Saka, as of this moment, would make such a move.

Whether Liverpool fans like it or not, in terms of where both clubs are, it would be a step down because one is in the Europa League and the other is fighting for the Premier League title, whilst also being in the Champions League.

Either way, if Salah does make a shocking Liverpool exit during these coming days, then Hutchison made it clear as to who they should buy.

“He is replaceable,” said Hutchison. “You buy someone in, like Mo Salah was when he was hitting 15 or 16 goals (at Roma).

“You find that player who you can mould, if you are Jurgen Klopp. People get carried away and think you have to get out there and find 30 goals.

“What you have to try and do is you get your Mo Salah that was getting 15, then you make him better. You turn him into 25-30. That’s Jurgen Klopp’s strength.

“There are players out there you can buy. I have named people like Chiesa. I have named people like Bukayo Saka. There are guys out there and there are many, many more. Mo Salah is an unbelievable footballer, but everyone is replaceable.”

Do Liverpool sell Mo Salah?

In most circumstances, they say no and they say no again, but money talks.

What if £100 million+ is put on the table, it then leaves Liverpool in a difficult situation and the powers that be then have to make a big call.

Klopp and the fans would tell you, not a chance, but at the end of the day, the long-term future of the club needs to be looked at and the fact that no player is bigger than the club.
