Tottenham fans are set to see Fraser Forster make his Premier League debut for Spurs against Brentford on Boxing Day.
That is according to Antonio Conte, who revealed that Hugo Lloris has returned to Hotspur Way in time for the trip to Brentford, but will start on the bench after his exploits in the World Cup final on Sunday 18th December.
What’s the story?
Well, the 34-year-old joined Tottenham back in June on a free transfer after his contract with Southampton expired.
According to The Athletic, the England international actually left Liverpool’s recruitment staff very impressed with his statistical improvement in passing during the end of his time at Southampton, as they analysed data.
Forster’s efforts led Spurs to sign him as a new No.2 to Lloris, after Joe Hart moved to Celtic and Paulo Gazzaniga joined Fulham in 2021.

As of now, the 6ft 7in glovesman has only made one appearance for Tottenham, which came in the 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest.
Now, however, Conte, who earns £288,461-a-week, has confirmed that he will make his Premier League debut for Spurs against Brentford.
The Independent quote the Italian as saying: “We are talking about a really good professional player. He is reliable and I can count on him. Yeah, he is going to play against Brentford.”
Forster made 134 Premier League appearances during his time at Southampton, keeping 42 clean sheets.
Tottenham eyeing Lloris and Forster successors
Spurs currently have two very strong goalkeeping options in Lloris and Forster, but seeing as they are 35 and 34 years of age respectively, long-term replacements are understandably being shortlisted.
Phil Hay of The Athletic believes Spurs are keen to sign Leeds wonderkid Illan Meslier.
Elsewhere, Tutto Mercato Web claimed that Tottenham are fans of Everton No.1 Jordan Pickford.
Keep an eye on the goalkeeping situation going into 2023, as a new glovesman could arrive in N17.
