Paul Heyman picks Stephen Curry over Michael Jordan as the NBA GOAT
During an appearance on Complex’s Sneaker Shopping, WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman gave his thoughts on the NBA’s GOAT debate.
When shown a picture of him and Michael Jordan from the 1990s, Heyman quickly corrected host Joe La Puma over dubbing Jordan the GOAT, labelling Stephen Curry the greatest of all time instead.
“First of all, he is not the GOAT. Steph Curry is the GOAT… Did I not just say that? Then I have to say it again? Asked and answered. Steph Curry is the GOAT!”
While Stephen Curry is credited with changing the NBA and is considered one of the greatest players of all time, his name doesn’t usually come up when discussing the greatest of all time.
Curry is certainly not lacking the credentials to be considered the GOAT in the NBA, but he is often overlooked in favor of Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

As a four-time NBA champion, two-time and the only unanimous MVP ever, a former Finals MVP, and the NBA’s all-time three-point leader, Stephen Curry has an incredible resume.
When compared to Jordan, Curry has had a similar career, with both stars leading their teams to a record-setting NBA campaign in 1996 and 2016, respectively.
But where the two are neck-and-neck is their impact on the game. Jordan changed the way people looked at the NBA and ushered in an era of offensive innovation not seen before his time.
As for Stephen Curry, he is credited with popularizing the three-point shot, as many players have adopted the shot as it has become one of the NBA’s most coveted skills.
