The biggest party of the summer is just around the corner, with the two-night Premium Live Event set to get underway from August 1.

We already know that the winners of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, which will be confirmed at Night of Champions later this month, earn title shots at SummerSlam.

However, when it comes to Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, she has ‘no idea’ what she is going to be doing at one of WWE’s big-four PLEs this year, but she is expecting to defend her title.

Liv Morgan has ‘no idea’ about her SummerSlam plans but expects to defend title

Morgan did not wrestle at Clash in Italy at the end of May, but she is currently competing in the Queen of the Ring tournament.

Exactly why WWE have put her in the tournament remains to be seen, given she is already a WWE Champion and probably wouldn’t be given the chance to wrestle Rhea Ripley for the other main women’s title.

But at the moment, it feels like creative just don’t have any concrete plans for their Women’s World Champion and don’t know how to book her properly.

Morgan herself has now opened up on future plans, but admitted she has ‘no idea’ what she will actually be doing at SummerSlam. Though she was keen to mention that she expects to defend her title.

Speaking to WSFL, she said: “I’m just excited for the event, honestly. SummerSlam is one of our biggest events of the year. I like to call it the biggest party of the summer, so be there or be square.

“We still have a couple of weeks leading into the event, so I’m very excited to see how things unfold. Because we just had WrestleMania, and WrestleMania to me kind of signifies the wrestling new year, everything is new and fresh and evolving. You can really expect the unexpected on this road to SummerSlam.

“So I have no idea what’s in store, but I know it’s gonna be a good journey to get there. So I’m excited.

“Obviously, I’m expecting to be there, I’m expecting to defend and retain my WWE Women’s World Championship, so my eyes are open and I have a few tricks up my sleeve, I’m always ready.

“But I have no idea. I just know it’s gonna be iconic.”

Given that SummerSlam has now turned into a two-night PLE, you would assume Morgan will be wrestling.

However, the way WWE are booking her at the moment does suggest she will not be involved in a huge match on the show.

That is a shame, given that she has grown in popularity a great deal in recent years, and fans would no doubt love to see her back involved in a major story soon.
