Michael Dawson has given his take on Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on Sky Sports News (1:41pm, December 18, 2021).

The Tottenham Hotspur Ambassador has said that Arsenal striker Aubameyang is a special player.

The Sky Sports pundit has urged the 32-year-old to get back to the level he was.

Aubameyang is not part of the Arsenal squad at the moment after a disciplinary breach.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker has also been stripped off the captaincy.

Dawson said about Aubameyang: “He is a player. We are not seeing at this moment in time, he is going through a difficult form, but we have seen previously. Wow! The goals he has scored. Special player. He has got to get back to that.”

Could Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang get back to old form?

Aubameyang has not been at his best since the start of last season.

And you would be forgiven to think that the striker is never going to get back to his old form.

However, in football, never say never.

You do not lose your touch and talent overnight.

Aubameyang is struggling for goals at the moment, just like Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

Perhaps if the Gabon international striker scores in two or three successive games when he starts, then the floodgates could open.

In our opinion, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta should try to get back the striker into the team and then work with him to get him back to his old self.
