Arsenal have realised that they will be unable to move on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the January transfer window, according to Eurosport.

The Gunners would sell Aubameyang in January if they could, according to the report.

However, Arsenal know that it is going to ‘difficult’ for them to sell the Gabon international next month.

Insiders close to Arsenal reportedly believe that ‘a summer exit is more likely’.

Aubameyang’s Arsenal exit inevitable?

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta stripped Aubameyang off the captaincy for a disciplinary breach.

The 32-year-old did not play against Southampton last weekend and against West Ham United in midweek.

Aubameyang will not play against Leeds United in the Premier League this weekend either.

It seems that Arteta is not happy with Aubameyang at all.

Now, a lot could happen in the coming weeks and months.

Can Arsenal really just leave Aubameyang out of their squad for the rest of the season?

We saw what happened with Mesut Ozil, but it is unlikely that Aubameyang will meet with the same fate.

Remember, Arsenal are actually very much in the race for the Premier League top four this season.

Despite Aubameyang’s struggles this season, he is a very good striker who could play a big role for Arsenal.
