Donald Trump watched on as Spain and Argentina faced off at the 2026 World Cup final in North America.
The United States President was spotted alongside FIFA President Gianni Infantino to watch the action.
Prior to the match, the cameras inside the New York New Jersey Stadium panned to Trump, and he was met with boos from a number of fans who had bought tickets to the final.

Fans in Vancouver watching World Cup final boo Donald Trump
However, it was not just those in attendance who decided to boo when Trump made an appearance on the coverage of the game.
Despite being knocked out of the tournament a while ago, it seems some in Canada are still following the World Cup closely.
A video has now emerged on social media showing a fan festival in Vancouver, Canada, which was showing this weekend’s final between Argentina and Spain.
And when Trump came on to the screen, many at the event could be heard clearly booing the US President.
While Trump may not be liked by some soccer fans, one Spanish star revealed pre-match that he would shake hands with the US President after the game had finished.
Borja Iglesias said: “I don’t want to go to prison. I hope it happens when we’re all happy, that it passes quickly and I can forget about it.
“I don’t think this is the time to create controversy. People know perfectly well what I think.”
