In years gone by, Liverpool supporters can put the mortgage on there being speculation about signing Adama Traore.
There hasn’t been much – or any – talk of it in January yet, but in virtually every transfer window for the last three or four years there is always something about Traore coming to the Reds.
Three years ago, Wolves valued him at £90 million [The Telegraph].
But if Liverpool ever did genuinely want him then they could pick him up for free in only six months.
That’s because Traore is out of contract at Wolves this summer and when asked about signing a new deal, he hardly offered any encouragement to Sky Sports today, as covered by HITC Sport.

It’s perhaps indicative of Traore’s decline at Molineux that he’s six months away from being a Bosman, after being worth almost £100 million in February of 2020.
But let’s not forget, there was a reason behind his massive price-tag and it’s because the potential is there.
The Spain international is faster and stronger than pretty much anybody else in the Premier League.
Problem is, there is zero end product and if someone like Jurgen Klopp could coach that, then you’re looking at a superstar.
The other problem is that he turns 27 later this month and if he hasn’t developed end product by now, there is an argument to be made that it’s far too late.
Liverpool will be delighted that they didn’t spend stupid money on him when his value spiked, but if Klopp does want him – or ever did want him – he might be there for the taking in the summer, if he doesn’t leave this month.
