Jose Enrique has expressed his shock on Instagram at hearing that Liverpool could be without Luis Diaz until March 2023.
The former Liverpool star and Stadium Astro pundit cannot believe that Diaz has suffered a setback in his recovery from knee injury and may not be able to take to the pitch for Jurgen Klopp’s side until March.
According to journalist Pipe Sierra on Twitter, the winger will undergo surgery today and is expected to return to action only in March 2023.
The 25-year-old suffering a setback in his recovery from a knee injury at Liverpool’s training camp in Dubai, as reported by The Times.
The winger first sustained the injury in the defeat to Arsenal at the start of October following a challenge with Thomas Partey.
Liverpool had initially expected the Colombia international to be back in the New Year.

However, according to Colombia-based journalist Sierra – who was the first reporter to break the 25-year-old’s move to Liverpool from FC Porto in January 2022 [EOTK] – Diaz is now expected to return only in March 2023.
Diaz has made seven starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season, scoring three goals and giving two assists in the process.
The 25-year-old £37 million (SkySports) winge has also scored one goal in three UEFA Champions League games for the Reds so far this campaign.
