There’s no doubt that Liverpool have missed Luis Diaz.

Since going off injured in the 3-2 defeat at Arsenal nearly two months ago, the Reds’ form has continued to stutter in quite a major way.

Diaz established himself as a key player for Liverpool ever since his £49 million transfer to Anfield from Porto in January of this year.

So when he was ruled out for a few months, it was a big blow for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

However, there’s been some good news for Liverpool now – and from a very reliable source.

Colombia-based journalist Pipe Sierra was the first reporter to break the 26-year-old’s move to the Premier League earlier this year [EOTK].

And Sierra has been speaking to The Anfield Talk on Twitter, revealing that Diaz will be back in action for Klopp within a matter of weeks.

Liverpool are due to take on Lyon and AC Milan in a couple of friendlies in Dubai on December 11 and December 16 – and Diaz will be part of the squad.

Sierra said: “He came to the national team head quarters to go through rehab & to enjoy some holidays. He has returned to Liverpool to finalise the process of rehab. The expectation is that Luis Diaz will be part of the squad that goes to Dubai.”

This is wonderful news for the Premier League outfit, if true.

The sooner Klopp gets someone like Diaz back, the better it is for Liverpool.

The Reds need a colossal second half of the season, similar to their 2021-22 campaign.

They’re sixth in the Premier League table and seven points behind fourth-placed Spurs, but having Diaz back for the start of the second half will be a massive boost.
