Paul Merson has predicted on SportsKeeda that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will win 2-1 against Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League this week.
Arsenal will take on Villa in North London in the league on Wednesday evening.
Former Arsenal and Villa star Merson believes that the Gunners will pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-1 win.

Merson wrote on SportsKeeda: “I think Arsenal will win this, but it’ll be a slightly harder game than what they would expect.
“Aston Villa are really struggling at the moment and have Manchester City to come after this one, so Steven Gerrard will definitely be feeling the pressure.
“There’s a lot going wrong with his team at the moment and he doesn’t know his best XI, which is a worrying sign if you’re a Villa fan.”

Gunners favourites v Villans
In our view, Arsenal will head into the Premier League match against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium as favourites.
The Gunners have won all four of their Premier League games so far this season and are on a roll.
On the other hand, Villa are doing really badly, and there is a chance that they could end up fighting against relegation to the Championship.
The Villans have picked up only three points from four matches.
Now, of course, we know that Villa have a good team, but Arsenal are defensively very strong, and in Gabriel Jesus, they have a striker who can destroy any opposition defences.
We predict a comfortable win for Arsenal against Villa this week.
