Walmart may be the norm for American residents, but some in Europe don’t have a supermarket anything like the chain in their country.
The World Cup will end in 10 days, and a number of teams have already exited the competition. But despite this, some fans have stuck around in the USA longer than their sides.
One of them is German soccer fan Bastiandi Matti, who has now visited Walmart for the first time while out in America.

German soccer fan loved his first visit to Walmart
Matti made headlines recently after he cried during an interview when praising the kindness of the American people.
His country had a disappointing World Cup tournament, losing to Paraguay in the Round of 32.
But Matti has remained in America and has now documented his first-ever trip to Walmart via his social media, saying he had a ‘blast’ at the store.
As has become a common theme with European fans visiting the US, he was especially blown away by the size of the store and some of the products on offer.
He said: “This is my first visit at Walmart. Wow, this place is massive. So many huge food packs. This is the biggest mayo I’ve ever seen, bigger than my head.
“Everything here: food, toys, everything. Huge choices, fishing gear, electronics, a 100-inch TV which is bigger than me. Thousands of different products.
After showing off what he bought, the fan concluded: “First visit at Walmart was a blast.”
It’s probably safe to say that the experience many World Cup tourists have been given while in the USA has been positive and will hopefully last a lifetime.
