The 2026 World Cup has given soccer fans from all over the world a chance to come and find out what America is really like for themselves.

The final of the tournament takes place on July 19, and while that means only two teams are left with anything to play for, supporters from across the globe have chosen to stay in America after their teams were knocked out.

Among them is a German soccer fan who goes by ‘FreddyLA7’ on X/Twitter.

Freddy has been sharing his journey around the USA after initially travelling to watch the World Cup, and he’s now been left blown away by how nice everyone has been to him and his friends since they flew over.

World Cup visitor says ‘it’s so insane how nice everyone’ in America has been

The 2026 MLS campaign is underway, and Nashville secured a 1-0 win over Atlanta United this week, a game Freddy decided to attend.

But after initially just buying standard tickets for the match, he has taken to X to reveal that the owner of the club invited him to his suite to watch the game there instead.

On the back of this gesture, he went on to add that the hospitality he has received from everyone in America has been ‘so insane’.

He stated: “Our first MLS game ever. Nashville against Atlanta. We had regular seats, but then the owner of the club invited us up to his suite to watch the game there.

“It’s so insane how nice everyone has been to us in this country.”
