Speaking on his podcast, Gary Neville has been discussing Antonio Conte’s potential Tottenham replacement, Graham Potter.

The Brighton boss has just secured a top-half finish with the Seagulls, and as you may imagine, after such a fantastic campaign, the Englishman has received plenty of praise.

The former Swansea manager has also been linked to a number of top jobs, perhaps most notably the Spurs job as rumours persist about a potential move to PSG for Antonio Conte.

Potter may well be headed to Spurs in the near future, and Neville has been full of praise for the Englishman.

What’s been said?

Neville spoke highly of Potter.

“Brilliant and Graham Potter at times has been put under a bit of pressure from Brighton fans, but to finish where they have finished is a wonderful season. Even Leicester, they’ve slipped in at eighth which is a respectable finish. But Brighton, Graham Potter has done a great job, he’s achieving the maximum with that team, just as David Moyes is at West Ham, and you have to respect those managers’ performances this season as much as you do the rest,” Neville said.

Matter of time

Whether or not Potter ends up moving to Spurs this summer or not remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, it’s just a matter of time before he lands himself a top job.

This Brighton team play fantastic football, and Potter is genuinely a modern-club’s dream with his sides consistently dominating in underlying metrics such as xG and PPDA.

Whether or not you buy into those stats or not, it has to be said that Potter is doing an impressive job at Brighton, and it won’t be long before a top club takes a punt on him.
