Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Adama Traore has reacted to his FIFA 23 rating and how it’s ‘very poor’ that he has been given 83 for his physicality.
With 96 pace, Traore, for a standard card, is a popular option because of his brute pace and strength, even though his shooting and passing are a real letdown.
Ahead of the latest edition for FIFA, the all-action winger has been handed a 79-rated card overall, with 96 pace and 83 physicality.
Last season, he was on-loan at Barcelona, but the Spanish club opted against signing him permanently, despite splashing a lot of cash on other players, including Leeds winger Raphinha.
Nonetheless, when Traore was reacting to his FIFA 23 card alongside Ruben Neves, he wasn’t happy with a few things, as he told Wolves’ official YouTube account.
“I hope this year is better,” said Traore. “I think it should be 90 (on his physicality).”
Traore was then told by Neves that it’s ‘not 90’ to which he responded, “It’s less than 90? I’m not happy already. 83, really? I think it should be 90, that’s very poor.
“The passing and shooting, but I think the defending has to be more than 38, that’s for sure.”
WHERE DOES TRAORE’S FUTURE LIE?
Since returning to Wolves, Traore is yet to start a Premier League game under Bruno Lage, which suggests he’s not part of his first-team plans.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if the winger does leave during the January transfer window, but his contract does expire next summer.
There was previous talk of the likes of Leeds and Tottenham wanting to sign the speedster, with suggestions that he wanted to make a move to Antonio Conte’s side.
One issue with Traore’s game is that he lacks consistency, bite and composure in the final third and you could just see a manager like Conte being able to get a serious tune out of the player.
