R.S.C. Anderlecht are set to sign Wolves talent Fabio Silva on loan for the season just two years after joining the Premier League club over a move to north London side Tottenham.

According to the Telegraph, Wolves are open to loaning out Silva for the upcoming season with the 19-year-old attacker still not quite adapted to Premier League football, with the former FC Porto prospect scoring just four goals in all competitions since his £35m move to the Black Country.

Silva opted to sign for Wolves over a move to Tottenham, with Spurs reportedly keen on signing the talented attacker back in 2020, yet the north London side missed out on the forward, who now looks ready to head to Anderlecht for the season.

Porto’s youngest ever player and youngest ever goalscorer, Silva arrived in England with a huge reputation, with the attacker tipped to become one of the best in his position in the years to come. However, his development at Wolves has not quite gone to plan.

Whilst Silva has played plenty of football for Wolves, performances have been subpar for the former Tottenham target, with a loan move to Belgium arguably the right move for the teenager at this stage of his career as the forward prepares to sign for Anderlecht.

Indeed, the European side are one of the best clubs on the continent for developing young players, and Silva signing for Anderlecht will give the Wolves prospect the platform needed to improve his game and to return to England next year a brand new player, if everything goes to plan.

Four goals in two seasons of regular football for Wolves is a poor return for a striker as talented as Silva, yet at just 19, the Portuguese youngster has plenty of time on his hands to develop and transform into the player many supporters believe the forward will become, and signing for Anderlecht will help immensely.

The Belgian side are the perfect club for a young player to develop their talents, and in the past two years, Anderlecht have seen Lukas Nmecha and Joshua Zirkzee explode into life after their respective loan spells in Brussels, something that will give Silva confidence ahead of a potential move.
