- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
HITC understands that Wolverhampton Wanderers have struck an agreement to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade this summer.
Fluminense midfielder Andre Trindade has been linked with a move to the Premier League for a long time and it now appears that the Brazilian could finally be getting his move to England that he has wanted for so long.
Back in July, Fulham were confident of landing Andre with the Cottagers preparing a medical for the Brazilian but the deal never happened and instead, Marco Silva’s side decided to sign Sander Berge.
Fulham shelled out £25 million for Berge and it now appears that Wolves are set to shell out a similar amount for Brazilian Andre.

Wolves strike Andre agreement with Fluminense
Wolves and Manchester United had denied interest in Andre last week but now the Black Country side are closing in on completing the signing of the 24-year-old.
Sources have told HITC that a deal has been agreed in principle between Wolves and Fluminense with a fee understood to be in the region of €25 million (£21 million) including add-ons for the 24-year-old technically proficient midfielder.
Personal terms are understood to not be a problem so the deal does look to be accelerating towards the completion stage, with over 48 hours to go before the transfer window slams shut.
Fluminense are understood to have given their word to the player to let him leave and after Fulham and Liverpool failed to get a deal over the line, he is finally getting the big move over the line that he wanted.
Andre set to team-up with Wolves’ Joao Gomes
Fluminense president Mario Bittencourt had commented on Fulham’s interest and hinted that other clubs were having ‘conversations’.
“What we have at the moment is that Fulham have given up, they are no longer interested in the player. And we don’t have an official offer from any other club, but we’ve had surveys, conversations, enquiries that have been made directly to the player’s representative,” he told Radio Itatiaia.
Wolves have a good record of finding talent in Brazil and Andre will team him up with fellow international Joao Gomes, who has also been linked to Manchester City but he is set to stay put at Molineux Stadium this summer.
