Wolves are unlikely to land Sergio Conceicao with the Porto boss expected to be in the mix for the Inter Milan job in the near future.
Bruno Lage’s time as Wolves boss is over after he was sacked on Sunday.
Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at West Ham United proved to be the end for Lage and the search for his replacement is now on.
As expected, a host of Portuguese managers are being linked with the job but one looks unlikely to be Molineux-bound any time soon.

Wolves are unlikely to land Sergio Conceicao
The Express report that Conceicao is in contention for the Wolves job but looks unlikely to leave Porto as things stand.
It’s suggested that Conceicao is thought to be in the frame for the Inter Milan job in 2023 given that current boss Simone Inzaghi is under huge pressure.
Conceicao spent two years with Inter during his playing days and may well hold out for a return to the San Siro due to that emotional connection.
That leaves a move to Wolves unlikely as things stand and a Premier League move still failing to materialise.
Less than a year ago, Tottenham were interested in landing Conceicao as their new manager following the exit of former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.
The Daily Mail reported that Conceicao was one of the early contenders for the job but Tottenham ended up going for Antonio Conte instead.
Conceicao didn’t let that snub drag him down though as he guided Porto to a superb title win.
Porto lost just one league game last season as they won the Liga NOS title by six points following an incredible fight with Sporting.
Conceicao has now won three league titles and five other trophies with Porto, enhancing his reputation as one of the top coaches in Europe.
The 47-year-old will be admired at Wolves and their Portuguese-heavy project but it would seemingly take a lot of convincing to lure him to Molineux.
