Saman Ghoddos has fired Ostersunds into the Europa League knockout stages – but will he depart for the Championship with Wolves and QPR keen?

If Saman Ghoddos moves to the Championship in January, it appears unlikely he will be wearing the colours of Queens Park Rangers.
HITC sources told us that QPR had a bid of £1.8 million rejected by Swedish high-flyers Ostersunds for the Iranian international centre-forward back in August. And the club’s chairman claimed to Fotbal Direkt back in October that Ghoddos would now cost around £4.6 million.
A QPR side under severe threat from Financial Fair Play, then, may simply be unable to afford to bring Ghoddos to Loftus Road.

But the same cannot be said about nouveau riche Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Tasnim News Agency claims that Wolves sent scouts to watch Ghoddos in action during Ostersunds’ Europa League defeat to Athletic Bilbao recently and, backed by wealthy Chinese owners, certainly have the funds to tempt Ostersunds into a sale.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side want a centre-forward to provide support to Leo Bonatini, who is the only striker in Wolves’ ranks. And the statistics suggest Ghoddos may be a steal at £4.6 million.

The 24-year-old has scored ten goals in all competitions this season and is a big part of the reason why the Swedish minnows can look forward to a huge Europa League clash against Premier League giants Arsenal in the New Year.
It remains to be seen, however, whether Ghoddos will still be around to take on Arsene Wenger’s side.
