Wolverhampton Wanderers are competing with Newcastle United and Manchester United for RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko in the summer transfer window, according to 90min.
The report has claimed that Wolves, Newcastle and Manchester United all are interested in the 19-year-old striker.
Manchester United have reportedly been approached by intermediaries, while Newcastle and Wolves ‘have also watched him closely’, according to the report.
90min have claimed that Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig all are keen on Sesko, but Salzburg do not plan to sell him.
Could Wolverhampton Wanderers sign Newcastle target Benjamin Sesko?
In our view, Wolverhampton Wanderers will struggle to sign Benjamin Sesko ahead of Newcastle United, Manchester United and Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
Yes, Wolves need a striker and could be able to give him regular playing time, but there is stiff competition for Sesko, who is one of the best young players in Europe and is rated very highly.

The striker’s agent, Elvis Basanovic, described him as “one of the best talents in the world at his age” to AS in October 2021.
Basanovic said that Sesko is “a very complete striker who can score with his head, with his right foot, with his left foot, from inside the area, from distance, after dribbling or completing a team move”, adding that the teenager is “very fast”.
The Slovenia international scored five goals and gave three assists in 24 matches in the Austrian Bundesliga last season.
Sesko also scored two goals and gave one assist in eight UEFA Youth League appearances last season.
