Alan Shearer has claimed that ‘without a doubt’ Manchester City will pip the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur to the Premier League title this season.
The legendary striker added that Liverpool will also ‘improve’ after they have had a start ‘they haven’t wanted’, whilst he thinks Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are looking ‘really strong’.
Both Spurs and Manchester City, who were due to meet a few weeks ago before their game was postponed, are the only two unbeaten teams in the Premier League this season.

Whilst something different seems to be brewing over on Merseyside because Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have failed to win four of their opening six league games this term.
Even in the Champions League, away in Italy, they took a serious hit at the hands of Napoli, before earning a much-needed win against Ajax last time out.
Nonetheless, with fixtures set to pile up ahead of the 2022 World Cup, this next period is going to be very crucial, as Shearer was pretty clear in his thoughts of Man City, Liverpool and Spurs, as he told Viaplay.
“Manchester City will, without doubt, win it,” said Shearer. “I still think Liverpool will, without doubt, improve. They haven’t had the start that they wanted.
“I think Tottenham will be really strong. I think with the forward players they now have, you add Richarlison to that forward line on top of what they had last season.
“So, they will go out and win games. I expect Man City, Liverpool and Tottenham (to finish in the top four)”.

COULD SPURS REPLACE LIVERPOOL?
There is still a long way to go, but Spurs fans will be feeling they can gatecrash that previously dominant top two that has been led by Manchester City.
The Reds have a game in hand, but they are already eight points behind Man City and Spurs and a further nine behind the current leader’s Arsenal.
On one hand, that should provide the north London duo and Pep Guardiola with confidence that they can pull away from the Merseyside club.
But if anyone can go on a crazy run, then it’s Liverpool, so from that perspective, you can’t rule out them roaring back because they are more than capable of doing just that.
