Some Everton fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported that Paulo Fonseca’s talks with Tottenham have broken down.
For all the world it looked as though Fonseca was going to come in at Tottenham, but at the eleventh-hour talks hit a snag and the deal is now off.
As you can imagine, Everton fans had plenty to say about this.
The Toffees had been linked with Fonseca earlier this summer after Carlo Ancelotti departed for Real Madrid, and now that he’s once again available, Everton fans want to see him brought in.
At the moment, it seems as though the frontrunner for the Goodison Park post is Rafa Benitez, a move that has been met with serious backlash, so it’s no surprise to hear that Toffees fans want to see an alternative option emerge.
Spurs’ manager search goes on, but Everton fans are hoping that theirs is concluded very soon, and they want Fonseca to be the man to come in.
