Tottenham Hotspur have somehow allowed yet another managerial candidate slip through the net as their talks with Paulo Fonseca have broken down at the eleventh hour.

For all the world it looked as though the former Roma boss would be Spurs’ new gaffer, but alas, somehow, Tottenham have managed to fumble this one as well.

So, where does that leave Tottenham in their search for a new manager? Well, according to Fabrizio Romano, they’re right back at square one.

This is bordering on embarrassing at this point.

Tottenham haven’t had a manager for two months and they’re right back to where they started after sacking Jose Mourinho.

By this rate the Euros may actually be finished by the time Tottenham appoint a new boss.

Jorge Mendes will apparently try to get Genarro Gattuso into north London, but there’s no word on whether or not that’s a move Daniel Levy will actually be keen to make, but at this point, he’s running out of options.

Somehow, Spurs’ manager search goes on, and as it has been for the last two months, this is very much a situation to keep an eye on.
