José Enrique has taken to Twitter to react after Roberto Firmino spoke to TNT Brazil about his future at Liverpool, where Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were mentioned.
What’s the story?
Well, Firmino told TNT Brazil that he is “very happy” at Anfield, and hopes to stay – his contract is set to expire in June 2023.
After hearing these comments, Enrique admitted that he wished Salah and Mane gave similar responses, with their contracts also expiring in June 2023.
You can see what the Spaniard wrote on Twitter in full below.
In fairness to Salah, he has come out and said that he will be staying at Liverpool next season.
As quoted by Sky Sports, the Egyptian said: “I don’t want to talk about the contract now, I’m staying next season for sure, that’s clear.”
Mane, on the other hand, simply told Sky Sports that he will made a decision “after the Champions League” final on Saturday.
In our view, that is an answer which should worry some fans, as the Liverpool No.10 is being targeted by Bayern Munich.
Real Madrid are also interested in signing Mane.
Liverpool have to keep Sadio Mane

In our view, Liverpool have to ensure Mane stays at Anfield – he is arguably their most important player.
The Senegal international always seems to produce the goods for Liverpool when the Reds need it most – he is a clutch player in every sense of the word.
With 23 goals in 50 appearances this season – along with five assists – it has been another exceptional campaign for Mane, who has proved his struggles last season were an abnormality.

With 120 goals in 268 appearances for the Reds, Jürgen Klopp would be losing a club legend if he fails to get the 30-year-old to stay.
Also, with his admirable fitness levels, Mane should be able to perform well into his thirties – he is far from finished.
Keep an eye on Liverpool, with the futures of Mane, Firmino and Salah all uncertain.
