Tottenham Hotspur fans believe that Milan Skriniar could well be Antonio Conte’s first signing if he does arrive.
Tottenham are said to be closing in on a deal to land Conte as their next manager by Fabrizio Romano.
Tottenham have taken an age to find a replacement for Jose Mourinho, but seem to have settled on Conte as their first choice.
If Conte does arrive it seems likely to assume that he will deploy his usual 3-5-2 system.
But to do so at Tottenham he will surely need to find new central defenders.
Spurs do have the numbers at the back to fit into the formation, but the likes of Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon haven’t exactly convinced over the past campaign.
Skriniar, though, has been an important player for Conte’s Inter side all season and was thought to be on Tottenham’s radar previously.
And Spurs fans feel that the £65 million-rated Slovakian (Give Me Sport) may well be the first player Conte tries to sign if he does arrive.
