Aston Villa are said to want the Wigan Athletic man as John Terry’s replacement.

Wigan Athletic fans are reacting on Twitter to reports linking star defender Dan Burn with a move to Aston Villa.
According to the Sun on Sunday (June 17th, page 59), former Wigan boss Steve Bruce has his sights on Burn as he searches for John Terry’s replacement at Villa Park.

The 26-year-old was an integral member of the Wigan side that secured last season’s League One title, but is about to enter the final year of his contract in Lancashire.
That could make him easier for Aston Villa to snare – especially with the Villans reportedly ready to sell players of their own to fund new arrivals.
But is Burn worth pursuing? These are the Wigan fans’ verdicts…
Burn, who hails from Bruce’s native north east, began his career with local side Darlington before moving to Fulham in 2011.
The 6ft 7in star, who also played for Yeovil Town and Aston Villa’s fierce rivals Birmingham City on loan, signed for Wigan on a free transfer two summers ago.
